The specialized storage that's coming addresses a bit of the storage issue, but how about going a step further (since it looks like specialized storage slots is all we're going to get as an add-in,) and giving us armor/helmet storage for all of those darn holiday items that are starting to clutter up everyone's storage? To date, there are 5 unique headgear items; enough to fill the entire belt pouch.
Not to mention, due to armor specialization, most people have at least two full sets of armor, plus multiple helmets for specialized builds. I would hazard a guess that there are bags and bags filled with nothing but spare armor and helmets on most accounts.
If we're not going to get more generalized storage space, at LEAST give us some space for some of the more bulky, space-consuming, non-stacking items. Armor and helms is a good place to start.

a message to anet
there are more post for storage increase then anything else yet we still do not get what we ask for. We got white dye, but not more storage. the materials storage was a nice add on. And Anet we are thankful for it. But
we could use more storage as some people have more then 4 chars. As many as 13 I have seen. The original amount of storage worked fine when we only had the 4 original slots. but as you have increased our character slots you have not increased our character storage (with the exception of materials).
thank you

Adding another tab to the storage would be nice, have the same number of slots as general storage but have it for just that character. I would use it for armor but it could be used to whatever. My monk has four sets of armor all of which I use, and the weapons that go with it so it would be nice to have somewhere to put it.

I don't really like the idea of making a specialized area for armor on general storage - there will be too many combinations and possibilities. And if they just add a blank ten slots into general storage, that won't do much in the grand scheme.
They could increase individual storage total, which would alleviate it. Another thought I'd had was, if when a weapon was in one of your preset slots, it didn't take up space in your inventory. So there would be whatever was in your hands, and then 3-6 other weapon/offhand/staves that weren't in your inventory. Once you took the item out of all presets (since it could be in more than one) it reappeared in your inventory. They could do the same thing for armor, by giving armor presets. I know I'd find armor presets highly useful in and of themselves, plus it would pull a lot of stuff out of inventory.

But in my idea, I'd be thinking rather of extra equipment bag for the armors.
Just alike belt.
You'd be able to change the amor depending on the needs - as they occur frequently.

/signed for more storage in general, not for specific stuff.
it was bad enough when i had to carry around my extra armor/headgear/specialized weapons for just myself...but now, with nf, i have to carry it for a plethora of heroes too. halfway through just about any quest, i find my inventory is full and i have to leave lots of loot where it lay.
anet honestly should do something about this. people who own all 3 chapters have an awful lot of stuff to carry around. a storage vault upgrade of some sort is in order, imo, as well as perhaps a slot for an extra bag. or perhaps bags for heroes?

/signet but i thougt of one of my stupid ideas here it comes
why not make al 5 armor in 1 slot when u klick no the slot of your armor you can choose witch part of the armor you want to wear like i got full glad on now i am need my stoneskin gountlets just klick on the knicht sets (becouse it has a knicht skin) and than sellect stone skin gountlets in this way you only have to have like 3-4 slots for all of your armor on 1 character
again its just a crazy idea but maby it inspires some 1 to get a better idea than mines hoping some 1 would but i just had to post this kind of a obsession

The storage situation is just dumb. Anet has been given oodles of good suggestions for this since the dawn of the game. 4 Extra Characters and countless heroes rub salt in a this quickly rotting wound.

Currently, on my Elementalist, I've got
Pyromancer 15k
Hydromancer 15k
Geomancer 15k
Aeromancer 15k
Elite Sunspear
Ancient
Obsidian
Doing the math that comes out to 28 peices of armor, ignoring the headpeices. Even a form of armor compression would be nice. Having the full set, you can "pack it up" into a box, and have it take up one inventory spot. It's not just for looks, either, because each one has its own bonus/insignia and runeset, for unique builds. Yes, I run 7 builds on my Elementalist alone. ArenaNet continues adding to the armor sets, but nowhere left to put them!
This gets a /signed from me.

Storage enhancements
Well, as for me, I'd vote for:
1) separate "Storage Space" for armors. So that the pieces of armor would not lie among other "sellable" items.
2) Sets of armor - just alike the "weapon" hack. F1-F4 as example in weapons issue. Player has got up to 8 "sets" available, defines itself the configuration. Then, in simple way - can change the armor in seconds.

i have every armor in Guild Wars, Factions, and Nightfall for my Necromancer, I cant store it all in storage or on my character so i store it on 2 characters i never play. I concur with this idea, and i have posted it before, yet i was told by a site admin of some sort "read the damn stickies" but anyways.

But since this has been suggested endlessly, over and over again, for as long as GW has neem playable, I highly doubt Anet will implement it

I would rather vote for a generally larger storage chest and / or a dye storage.
